Just today the image on my NeXTstation monitor started to shake continously. This makes it difficult to focus on the screen. Is this a serious problem or just minor problem that is easily fixed? The machine has worked great for over 18 months. The OS version is 2.0. Hmmm, well I had exactly the same problem about a month ago. Turned out
that it was caused by a fan that I had turned on which was about 5 feet
away from my NeXT but the air was hitting the side of the monitor. This
shaking disappeared when I turned off the fan. Took me a couple of days
to make the correlation considering the fan was so far away but once I
changed the direction of airflow, all was fine. :-)
Of course this may not be your problem but you might want to see if
something isn't all of a sudden blowing into the back or side of your
monitor in which case the fix is quite simple.
Hope the problem is as simple as that, weird and silly but true.
