It does take some harddisk space, but this is usually an amount
low in megabytes. On my NW4.11 server it took 5MB of HD space
for a moderately filled 2GB partition. It is also using some
memory, however I really don't know how much. But my NW4.11
server also only runs with an 486SX33 and 16megs of RAM, and
it serves a maximum of 5 clients simultaneously without probs.

For Y2K compliancy, YES.
