Howdy, We're running a 4.1 server here, and this morning it did something extremely odd. When the server comes up it stops and asks for the Server Name and Internal IPX Address. It then proceeds to process the AUTOEXEC.NCF. After perusing a CONLOG dump, it shows that in the AUTOEXEC it is attempting to reassign the Server Name and Internal IPX Address. My question, what could be causing this? I've run vrepair, and it showed no errors encountered. There's also an NLM that wouldn't load. The NLM is AXS from Extended Systems. It comes up and says that a copy is already running on the network and I need to purchase another copy or that there was a problem reading from the bindery. The strangest thing, after running VREPAIR, this NLM loads fine now. Being as it's work hours here, I didn't wanna test downing the server and seeing if the AUTOEXEC would process properly. So my quick question... Does anyone know what would stop the server from processing its AUTOEXEC.NCF? Thanks in advance, Scott Fringer Network Administrator Barr Systems, Inc. Gainesville FL

Load INSTALL or LOAD EDIT AUTOEXEC.NCF and ENSURE that the first two lines contain SERVER NAME and Internal Network Number. -- --------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan Sobel Amateur N6HLZ snake@wco.com
