Looking for VNASI driver

I am sick of the amount of memory the NASI TSR takes up. Has
Novell written a VNASI (VXD) driver for Windows? If it exists, where can I
get it?

Thank you for the help,

Daryl Morey

Please post and reply to dmorey@nwu.edu

Daryl,

There is a NASI re-director for Windows COM ports that utilises a DLL
version of the NASI interface. This means NO NASI TSR and no need to use
NASI compliant comms software! All of my colleagues that are Compuserve
users make use of it. To comms software it just looks like a normal COM
port. You just map com ports to specific or general NASI ports and leave
it to do the hard work. Novell released it to complement Netware Connect
and I believe it is called Windows Netware Connect Services (WNCS). You
should find a file called WNCS.??? on a/the Novell FTP site(s) (I
couldn't say where or which directory [try looking for Netware Connect,
NCS, areas]). I got it on Compuserve (in the NOVFILES forum I believe).
Good luck.

Regards
David.

The file is called winncs.exe. It is available at the Novell
FTP site (novell.com) in the directory
/pub/netware/dial/nwcnct10.

Cheers,
