I forgot to mention something about the autoboot monitor:

  It is available for anonymous ftp from iceberg.cs.wwu.edu as the
  file pub/pc532/mon.auto.tar.Z.  It contains two precompiled 
  versions, one for 19200 baud console lines and one for 9600 baud
  console lines.  All you should need to use it is a new eprom and
  a programmer.
