Those Who Will Receive ET532 Printed Circuit Boards ( 2nd List, last edited Oct 6th, previous sent 1st Oct. 92 ) To estimate costs, & in preparation for board production ... all `If's `But's & `Maybe's have been quantised to a 1 or 0 ! If in the left margin below you are marked as `0' You will NOT receive a board :-( `1' You ( & I ) will be expected to pay an as yet unknown amount ! Changes expected :-), Please email me, & I will acknowledge. PCB COST Will include shipping, PCB material, & shared photoplotting charges costs will be announced when known, after which time will be allowed for additions, deletions, & then prior payment. PHOTOPLOTTING jjsmith said he could do this if necessary, but to spare him some work (he hasnt got his pc532 pcb yet after all), if anyone else has access to photoplotting facilities at attractive prices please speak. ( I now have George's gerber info etc here, & will be sending a copy to Jonathan ) IC COSTS Bryan Davis bdavis@apple.com said > You can send me the parts list for the ET532 board. I will > investigate and get back to you with quotes from the Bay Area. Thanks Bryan, I'm posting the parts list, & Cc'ing you. Sean sef@kithrup.COM said: > Did somebody post a price list that I missed? I havent, but I'm Cc'ing you too ;-) ... TOTAL PROJECT COST sef@kithrup.com mailed me: > That sounds promising. How much with parts, though? Lee Damon <nomad@CASTLE.ORG> mailed me: > ok, please let me know the cost. I definatly want one, > the only question is if I can afford it. To everyone I can only say: I dont know yet, as soon as I do I'll post the info. This PCB list will not commit you to IC purchase, - keeps it simple for me, - if necessary you could always buy a cheap PCB, then keep it till you've cash to buy ICs ? (this'll guite likely be a once only ET532 PCB fabrication run, with no more ever produced ) IC KIT DISTRIBUTION Hopefully someone(s) will consider doing IC bulk purchase & kit distribution. (doesnt need to be same person who does pricing investigations, but shouldnt be me, USA should be better purchase & distribution point than Germany) SOFTWARE: Dave Rand <dlr@daver.bungi.com> mailed to say > I have the software for the Ethernet already done, including > an Ethernet-based monitor, and DOS client. I'll do the low-level > Ethernet driver (tricky, 'cause you have to handle the special cases). (so I assume you want 3 PCBs bdale ? ) FINANCE I can probably help bank rolling cash flow for PCBs &/or ICs if necessary, but if someone else wants to, feel free ! ; maybe someone who lives where the US $ is native currency, & not subject to bankers exchange commisions ! - - - - - - - - # PCBs ; EMAIL shown by "From:" ; .signature EMAIL NAME ; HUMAN NAME ; COMMENT YES - DEFINITE 1 stacey@guug.de Julian Stacey 1 jjsmith@nyx.cs.du.edu, Jonathan Smith 1 mch@regent.e-technik.tu-muenchen.de Michael Herman 1 dlr@daver.bungi.com Dave Rand 1 sverre@nrel.gov Sverre Froyen 1 arnol7.arnold@ibmmail.ibmx400.nl Stuart Arnold 1 rickr@virtech.vti.com Rick Rodman 1 jonb%altsys@relay.EU.net jonb@altsys.com Jon Buller NO ICs 1 davis#m#_bryan@msgate.corp.apple.com Bryan Davis 3 bdale@gag.com + Fred & John Bdale Garbee If drvr 1 tbr@tfic.bc.ca Tom Rushworth 1 kls@ohare.Chicago.COM Karl Swartz -- -- YES - VERY LIKELY 1 nomad@CASTLE.ORG Lee Damon < $100 1+ ackley@banana.cis.ohio-state.edu john@softspace.com John James Ackley 1 loeliger@bach.convex.com Jon Loeliger 1 tty IC -- -- INTERESTED - BUT NOT COMMITTED YET 0 sef@kithrup.COM Sean Eric Fagan How Much 0 DALL@hfrd.dsto.GOV.AU Ian Dall 0 phil@cs.wwu.edu Phil Nelson How Much 0 bdavis@apple.com Bryan Davis 0 etnrwi@hisoy.etn.ericsson.se Raymond A.
