Here's my cut&paste log (because plain cc ~/ps.c isnt sufficient):
	cd /usr/src/minix/commands
	mv ps.c ps-minix.c ; mv ~/ps.c ps.c ; ln ps.c ps.mathias.c
	make ps
		cc -O -D_MINIX -D_POSIX_SOURCE -DNS32K ps.c -o ps
	mv /bin/ps /bin/ps-minix ; mv ps /bin/ps
	cp /usr/src/minix/minix /minix
	su # to enable auto creation by ps of /etc/ps_data
	/bin/ps
