CD ROM Problems

Hi :)

I have a CD problem and was hoping someone out there could help.
I just got Infomagic's CDROM package for Slackware, and have
been trying to install it. However, none of the boot/root
disks have been able to recognize my cd rom drive.

I have a Hitachi cdrom CDR3500 with a CDIF35A interface card.
MSCDEX is the software driver I use in dos. This drive is
supposed to be SCSI compatible, but the SCSI boot disk doesnt
recognize it. If any of you knows the solution to my problem,
I'd be very gratefull. Thanx :)

I'm having a very similar headache. I, too, bought the InfoMagic CD-Rom, and
I can't get any of the boot disks to recognize my Sony cdu31a CD-ROM drive...
Yes, there's a cdu31a boot disk, but it still doesn't work.
Anyone else have any suggestions?

My CD-ROM is not SCSI.
             ^^^

Thanks,
