Hello... I just received a Palm V from a friend however it looks like the
battery is dead now (before it was working but it has been in my drawer for a
few months and now the screen is dead) and she only gave me the actual Palm V
but none of the accessories (keyboard, stylus or cradle) ...what do I need to
do to bring it back to life?

Thanks,
Andrea

Well you could hunt down your friend and beat the recharging cradle
outta her. Or buy one. Be sure to get the correct one for your Palm
version.

They do not appear to have an Australian web site/store, so the above is
the USA/Canada site.

Or you could just try doing a hard reset.

Stick a pin in the reset hole on the back of the palm whilst holding down
the up/down cursor button.

Er... If the machine hasn't been recharged for months how is that
going to help? A cradle to get some electrons into it would seem to be
a first requisite!

My apologies. I didn't notice that he had said he didn't have the cradle.
I do know that if you allow the battery to discharge completely, a reset
is often required after recharging.

Cheers.

You can buy a travel pack which has a charger and sync lead without getting
a cradle. If you buy the cradle it'll do both but is more bulky to carry
about.
