Intel's business case is to ALWAYS sell more chips. Thus, it is in Intel's interest for users to only get top performance in multi-cpu machines. I noticed that Intel has moved from selling cpu's, to cpu's and chipsets, to selling the entire motherboard. In essense, the PC market is a single source market now. Every machine is the same internally. As usual, the PPC and the Intel chips have pro's and con's. A person needs to decide which design best meets their needs and go with it. It is dumb to assume that only a single machine can be all things to all people. WT
