Denied? you're kidding, right?
We were talking about people that don't know, and don't want to know
about the inner workings of their computer.
These people don't *want* the burden of root responsibilites while they
are trying to figure out how to log in, or how to start X...
Why force them into an unwanted role as system administrator, with power
to wipe out everything? In that case, they might as well be running dos
and windoze.
Here at my workplace, there are many users of X workstations that don't
have the root password, and it has never been an issue. No complaints
about being "denied the full use" of anything...
just my $.02

Win95? No, none for me, thanks - I'm already running Linux...
Microsoft is not the answer - Microsoft is the question; the answer is NO!
