All DOOM ports are quick and dirty (and nobody claimed otherwise).
They've been done without any kind of commercial purpose, just for the
heck of it.  The $$$ come from the MSDOS version.  Everything else is
a droplet in a sea, as far as ID software revenues are concerned.
