Admittedly Linux doesn't have a super fancy GUI (although I haven't seen Caldera
yet) I wonder what percentage of the "Drag n' Drop" functionality you boast about
is contained in a decent filemanager like "xfm" or "GREAT" coupled with AUIS. Admittedly
not all, but you can drag n' drop, double click to install packages, etc, with those
filemanagers. How many tens of seconds must we save per day anyway?

???? Crazy. Spend $30 on a Linux CD if you are afraid to do it "by hand" (which
is quite smooth). Or read for 5mins. I put one line in one file and I now NFS mount
directories on the Linux PC upstairs to the one downstairs. Am I really supposed to
get a woody because I could do it in three button clicks????

It's the crashes that drove me away from Windows and Mac. It took me 20mins of
reading (sorry not pointing and clicking) and I am now a Unix network expert.
Sheesh! Now everyone asks me to help setup their Unix (Linux and non-Linux)
boxes to the Internet! And I hook up their Windoze boxes too! America: throw
away your double-click seat cushions and crutches and READ more than one screenful!

Whoa, this is incredible. At least I've tried to work with Windows, Mac, and OS/2 in
the last year or so! Linux has leveraged against the existing Unixes and in many
regards are way ahead of them (check out the fuzz report for example). The GNU tools
bundled with Linux are superior to what comes with any commericial Unix.

Cheers,

Karl
