YouEdit works w/o JLK or KanjiTalk? I didn't think such a thing existed for Macintosh. Where can I get it? I've used Macintosh, Windows3.1J, and UNIX (Linux) with its Japanese support. The Mac's I found adequate, albiet quite expensive. Windows-J was inadequate, but at least was bundled with Write-J for free. (I found it exceedingly un-stable, thus the "inadequate" rank). I actually prefer to use plain English windows and freeware (JWP, WinJdic, Edict, etc.) that use Windows-J. This solution I would rank as adequate! Linux, I find superior to all others as far as internationalization. Full Multilingual support versions of Mosaic exist (you can read Korean, Chinese, Japanaese, Russian, etc.) from it. Everything is free. Fonts are available, the Japanese front-ends are _far_ more flexible, quicker, and tend to "learn" from the typist. Of course, these are some sacrifices of moving to a Linux system. Certainly I would not advocate a move to Linux for everyone--but many should enjoy the new freedoms of Linux! >=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= >=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= >"I am not a racist.
