While I own a PC (read:  IBM Compaitble 486/100) I have no illusion as
to the which is better from a purely hardware point of view.

The Mac wins hands down.  Until OS/2, I had regretted spending upteen
thousands on 17" Monitor, 24 Mb Ram, 4 Mb VRAM card, etc, etc.  The
Power Macs at school still had control of my heart.

I have no need for the zillions of titles available for PCs, yet that
is how my friends convinced me to got the way I did.  I now run OS/2
which has less native app support than does the dreaded Windows.
Still, it too is superior to a PC running only Windows.

If we are talking about penultimate PCs, the best the Pentium has to
offer vs the best PowerMac has to offer, you wouldn't see me in any
lineup except for the PowerMac 9500.  If I had to do it all over
again, that's where my money would go.

At least, once the pre-emptive multitasking OS comes out for it.  As
of now, after/while running OS/2 I couldn't live without it.

Well, with a 9500, maybe...
