I'm using Visionware's XVision; it's blindingly fast. I use the multiwindow mode, which uses Windows as its window manager, rather than the single window mode where you run the window manager of your choice. >It's amazing how slow a P90 can be made to run. If you're seeing serious performance problems there are several things you can check: 1. Is your pagefile's minimum size larger than physical memory? It should be, or else performance will suck. 2. If your machine is PI+VLB, is it using the OPTI chipset? If it does, there is a hardware problem that destroys performance (not just for NT; BSDI UNIX won't run *at all*). 3. If you're using IDE drives, get SCSI. I use NT on a 486DX2/66 with 32Mb memory, with EISA SCSI and network controllers, and it runs very well. jim frost jimf@world.std.com -- http://world.std.com/~jimf
