Who told you, David? I don't think that has been officially confirmed yet.

Pardon?? 

I'm using System 7.5 on my '030 IIci and it runs somewhat *faster* than
System 7.1 did. I have seen postings in comp.sys.mac.system from folks
that are using System 7.5 on 68000-based Mac Plus machines (1985 vintage)
and are happy with the relative performance of the OS.

Check your facts, David.

Again - check your facts, David.

I would *hope* your 386-33 would "blow away" the LC since it is a 16MHz
68020 machine - the closest equiavlent PC would be a 16 MHz 80286 PC. 

My *25MHz* 68030 IIci will "blow away" that 386-33 of yours. No problemo.
