Retail stores have abandoned the Macintosh software buyer buy giving them an inferior selection of titles. In response, Macintosh buyers have abandoned the retail stores. Its a vicious circle, with retail stores on the losing end and mail order companies living it up. I'm not saying that there is an equal number of programs for the Mac, but its nowhere near as dismal as PC stores like CompUSA would have you believe. P.S. CompUSA is pretty lame in the hardware department as well. I went in looking for monitors last month. I stopped by the Mac section and saw a PMac 6100 with the flashing question mark Mac in the center of the screen (can't find a bootable drive indicator). I commented to another customer on how lame it was for CompUSA not to figure out the problem since they even had an in-store service dept. The other customer told me that he had complained about the same problem a MONTH ago, and the store had not even touched the machine since. the reason why CompUSA has such a small Mac section is because users like me laugh whenever somebody suggest going there to buy Mac stuff. -- +------------------------+--------------------------------------------+ |Thomas E.
