Wrong!  Windows 3.1 apps and DOS apps can run under Windows 95.  Who told you 
otherwise?

You obviously don't do very much with your computer.  Under Win 3.1 I 
frequently run into situations where I can't Alt-Tab to another application 
because the app I'm in won't release the CPU.  For example, when saving a 
large file.  If the Mac doesn't have preemptive multitasking, then I would 
imagine that such problems are frequent on that platform as well.
