Utter crap! Linux is free. If you want a consistent interface buy
Motif! No difficulty there. I assume you purchase Windblows software.
I use Linux productively _every_ day. The Andrew User Interface System
is a free system from Carnagie Mellon University that provides a
common interface to a WYSIWYG Wordprocessor, spreadsheet, file
manager, drawing package, mail system, source editing etc etc etc (its
extensible).

If you want to pay:-

Morse Telecommunications provide an application suite that has a
common user interface including a database system, word processor,
spreadsheet etc.

Caldera have a lovely user interface for X11.

Native WordPerfect 6 is on the way.

If you must have that DOS program or Windblow program you could try
the emulators.

Are you sure you couldn't find them cos I did in about 25 minutes with
that _really_ difficult to use piece of software called Netscape. Or
maybe you just don't really know what you are talking about. I am
happy to educate you.

Most of the "thousands" of things you use daily are used cos Windows
is such a brain dead piece of software. I mean a "dialer".....
really...

Linux also has software you wouldn't even _dream_ of running on
anything less than a UNIX workstation. It can handle stuff that would
bring NT to it's knees & kill Winblows95 outright.
