I seriously doubt that apps are still all coded in assembler. If written
in a high-level language such as C/C++ or Pascal, the compiler will take
care of emitting and optimizing code for the target microprocessor. Only
the parts written in assembler would need to be hand-tuned or rewritten
for the new microprocessor.
