DOS isn't multitasking _at all_. Try doubling the Mac figure as well.
Then of course, you forgot other computers/OS like Cray, VAX/VMS, IBM
MVS, Symbolics Genera, TI Explorer, Sequent, AmigaDOS, etc., which,
although fewer in number, also outrun and outclass the majority of
those 80M PC's that you quote. Makes me worry what will happen to
landfills a few years from now, though, when those PCs get dumped...

More in number does not necessarily mean better. It is evident that there
is an overwhelming number of people who eat at McDonalds (how many billion
served?), but that food certainly is far from gourmet.
