Both the Apple LISA and the Charles River Data Systems Perqs preceded
1984 & Macs.  Macs hit the street in '83 or '84.  We had a Perq in 1981
I believe.  Maybe even 1980.  Nor was it impossible to obtain a Xerox Star.
