Excel is easier to use, and so people will move to the new standard, like it or not. MS has routinely apologized for the speed of the new Word (Excel isn't that bad, just memory-hungry). Haven't you read Bill G's column in the New York Times(?) recently? He's got a weekly in one of those newspapers; it's a good read. It's on the MS Technet CDROM. >> ROTFL. The problem is that the software is bloated >and slow. Heck, as far as I'm concerned even going from Excel 5 >to Excel 4 is an upgrade. What do you do when you have 3000 PC users with the latest and greatest Excel (which, amazingly, runs well, even on an old 486/50) and 800 Mac users, with the old version? The Mac users are forced to upgrade - that's what happens.
