I have not used the Zip drive, but have experience with similiar type drive 
like MO.  Usually the drivers that come with these drives are there to allow 
MacOS stuff to happen, like ejecting the drive when it drug to the trash or 
auto-mounting it when it is inserted in the drive.  Because Win95 is less 
inteligent about these things, the OS does not need to know when disk has been 
inserted or removed.
