Right. I mentioned many of the limitations in another post, so I
won't go into them here, but our FAQ
(ftp://ftp.ardi.com/pub/executor-faq.ascii) and WWW pages
(http://www.ardi.com) are up front about Executor's current limitations.

I've actually been at it 9 years, Bill Goldman has been with us off
and on for 6 years and the rest for 3 or fewer years.

Nobody, not even Apple themselves, get 100% compatibility. We always
word it as something like "significantly greater compatibility". Yes,
the ability to drop in System 7.x and later System 8 is indeed a goal
for future versions of Executor. It's not a rumor that it's our goal,
but it *is* only vapor for now.

Yes, we will be making the source code to our Browser publicly
available and I think that's a good thing, but I wouldn't go quite so
far as to call it a great thing; our Browser is still in its infancy,
so there are many missing features people would like.

DEC was gracious enough to loan us an Alpha a couple years ago and we
actually got Executor 1.0 limping on that machine, but unfortunately,
Mat Hostetter, our synthetic CPU guru was still getting his Masters at
MIT, and wasn't in Albuquerque during the period when we had the
Alpha, so the port never went anywhere. However, we already have
hooks in place to deal with the 64-bit pointers that are present on
the Alpha, so porting back to the Alpha in the future will be easier.
