Actually, the Amiga project started outside of Commodore and was almost 
completely finished when Commodore took it over. They so pissed-off the 
man writing the OS that he split back to England and left them with a 
ream of uncommented BCPL source code for the OS. The farmed the OS 
project out to three consultants with the understanding that they would 
finish the OS in 6 weeks. Six months later, teh completed OS was returned 
to Commodore. Six weeks after that, Amigas were on the shelves.
