In fact, I'm a strong advocate on people trying the different OS's before deciding which one is best. Though this is a little unreasonable with Windows NT (unless there's a money back guarantee I'm not aware of), but the upcoming "battle" between OS/2 and Win95 should provide people with a relatively cheap way to check out both OS's. Microsoft and IBM have both hinted at providing a cheap upgrade path from one to the other -- this will let people freely pick one in a "try it out" fashion and know that they can cheaply check the other one out if dissatisfied.
