There is another thing that Apple and Amiga Technologies GmbH
have in common:

The sort of fans that Macintoshes and Amigas have.

Some of the Mac and Amiga fans are not only very zealous, they
also seem very wronged about Macs and Amigas losing out to the Wintel
juggernaut, which they rightly consider to be technically inferior.

Not just the Mac and the Amiga, but also OS/2 and UNIX have
similarly dedicated fans; Like the MacOS and the AmigaOS, OS/2 is a
minority OS on the desktop, and even UNIX is being challenged in where it
has been big.

Also, the advocates of the Mac and the Amiga and OS/2 and UNIX
point to one or another feature they consider superior about their
favorite systems; the only M$ OS that generates comparable devotion is
Windoze NT. In fact, I've yet to see any defense of (say) Windoze 3.x
based on its features; its main defense is because it has a great market
share.
