Slow down. Control of details? Who the heck are you and where do you
think that the Mac OS
affords any less control over it's "details"? I deal daily with Macs and
PC's on a common
network and I can tell you that detail control is FAR, FAR more available
AND far more
easy to do on a Macintosh. (Windows 95 is still a LONG way from the
user-friendly and most
intuitve interface of the Mac although it does offer a pretty face.)

Speed is irrelevant...bull! You obviously don't rely on a computer to
make any money. Speed
AND ease of use directly translate into increased productivity. Increased
productivity means
mo' money.

And as far as supporting Macs on a network goes, I spend about 1/3 of the
time keeping Macs
up as I do PC's. These Macs run on a 10BaseT ethernet and connect with a
Novell server, just
as the PC's do. They are as fast as the PC's and are much more fun to
use. Plus resource access
is easier than on the PC. BTW, figure this out yourself...based upon
support time that is 1/3 of
that for PC's, what platform do you suppose COSTS less to keep around?

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it!
