I hate it because I have to use Win 3.11 I disagree with this line. MS hires programers (er coders) based largely on the quality of their code. As far as coding goes they probably have one of the best houses in the world, they are very liberal and will hire anybody that writes good code. (even high school kids...) There applications are poorly engineered, that is the difference. If you start with a crappy design (eg Windows sitting on top of DOS) you will end up with a crappy product no matter how good you are at writing code. When you have pros do your design work (like was done with NT) then you come out with a much better product. (NT is, in my honest opinion, a much more stable and powerful platform and I see it as a much bigger threat than MS's desktop oS of the year.)
