I gave up on trying to read this entire string after about 25 posts... I'm not sure, therefore, if this has already been said or not. A PPC 601 chip is, according to a test performed by an independent and impartial agency (although I can't recall who they were... sorry if I can't keep my testing agencies straight...) 38% faster than a Pentium running at the same clock speed. This is the average for most users, and fits "the other 99%" that some people were arguing about. Obviously, it's not exactly 38% faster on everything. For graphics and such, it's 98%, there was something else that was 27%, but it all evened out to 38%. The PPC 604 chip is faster than the 601. Even if it weren't, a 150 MHz PPC would be as fast, for all practical purposes, as a Pentium 207. Since it's a 604 and not a 601, it seems like it could be more along the lines of a Pentium 240.
