Hi Robert -
Funny thing about the Mac market - Mac users rarely buy retail. The four
Macs that I've owned at various times in the past 5 years were all
purchased mail order. I'm considering buying right now, and I can assure
you, I'm not shopping at ComputerCity...

Apple claims that overall sales for Q3 and Q4 were at record levels. They
claim that the losses were due to price cutting reducing margins. I
personally believe that Apple was taking big losses on the few remaining
'040 machines in the lineup. 

I'll take Apple's word over some particular retailer's until proven otherwise.
