You can't quote any sources because it isn't true.  Gateways share of the 
PC market not close to apples, maybe 1/4.

Gateway might be intersted in Mac clones because at this point they do 
almost no R&D or manufacturing of their own, the basically package and 
market other companies designs and component and motherboards.  

Thing is, their position is being sqeezed from below as Intel, one of 
their biggest suppliers, does more and more, giving Gateway fewer areas 
to add value.

Producing PPcC machines that could run the MacOS would give them a place 
to run to.
