Here your analogy breaks down.  There are lots of brands of cars *and* lots
of brands of trucks.  There are lots of brands of PC clones and very few
brands of Macs.  Once there are lots of Mac clones, the analogy will be
stronger, although still not very strong; there's no car or truck maker
that has anywhere near the brand loyalty the Mac does, and the car and
truck markets aren't growing like the PC markets are.
