What?  Even a menubar clock driven by a vertical-blank interrupt?  Perhaps
I missed something somewhere, but I don't agree with your statement.

I remember this demo of VBI called Bugs or something like that.  Little
bugs crawled up from the bottom of the screen, over everything on the
screen, including system error dialog boxes where the mouse was frozen.
