Are you sure? How about this one:

    February 6th 1996

Apple Computer has teamed up with the Open Software Foundation to port
the Linux operating system to the Power Macintosh. The freely
distributable Unix variant is being based upon the Mach 3.0 micro
kernel and duo expect to have a finished release ready in the second
quarter of this year. Initially it will run on the older Nubus-based
    Power Macintoshes: the 6100, 7100, 8100 with the 7200, 7500, 8500 and
    9500 models following.

Especially when it crashes and your work goes down the drain.

Being better than a piece of crap doesn't mean too much. MS has NT for
the users who need a solid and powerful platform. Apple has nothing.

Apple already tried to sue. It didn't work.

>Less complex means the user gets to be more productive.

Not quite. The beginner gets to be more productive faster, at the
expense of the experienced user who is still treated as a beginner by
the system (and is thus less productive). The opposite approach, taken
by Unix, proved fairly succesful for people who need more than an
wordprocessor and a spreadsheet to get their work done.
