I've noticed the same thing.  What usually happens is that it crashes
and I type "quota" and I'm at 103%...  Usually happened when I ftp
something and forgot to put it in /tmp  Now my ftp is an alias to
cd /tmp and then ftp.  (t)rn hasn't crashed on me in months.
