In article <dke-2203960645550001@adnline48.adnc.com>, David K. Every <dke@adnc.com> wrote: >In other words MacOS is being UserDriven... Unix and NT where technology >(engineer) driven. Which is more in the users best interests?!? I hate to be the one to break this to you, but Unix and windows nt ought not to be mentioned in the same sentence, despite Bill Gates' assertion that windows nt is a "better Unix than Unix". The Free Unices, e.g. Linux, FreeBSD, etc (BTW the "free" refers to freedom, not pricing) are the ones that are user driven. Linux development is being guided on a daily basis by the input of the talented Linux community - in other words, it is an OS which is of the users, by the users, and for the users. Windows nt is essentially a marketing campaign by one of the wealthiest corporations on earth. See any difference there? -- Joe Sloan Happily running Unix! jjs@ModernMan.com
