Heck, Bill Gates could write a personal check an BUY Apple if he wanted just to get the software technology<g>. Linux? I love it, but the find of ferver needed to use and enjoy linux is lmited to about 1% of today's computer users. Warp? A techi's delight, but again it is of NO interest to the mass of average users. What I HAVE noticed is that the technology of the future (hw and sw) is appearing on almost every platform other than the PC well in advance. I have managed to stay ahead of the curve buy using other platforms, and this has really benefitted me in the job market. Mac development skills were a big help when Windows replaced DOS. Unix expertise gets higher salaries, especially with the current internet frenzy. Unix SQL experience put me ahead of the curve when the client/server thing started. Playing with NeXTstep gave me a lot of OO experience once it showed up in a major way on PC's. WT
