Don't confuse computer science with interface theory. It just so happens that many `easy' interfaces are fitted on relatively uncapable platforms, and to use CPU time on the interface is to have to wait to actually do the real work Solving that is what client/server strategies are all about. One interface is good for one person (based on their experience -- maybe they've been using mice since Xerox PARC started), another interface is good or another person (can she type 150 words/minute (must be a Dvorak user ;)). -- Mark R.
