They might have to coordinate, but they don't need things like
semaphores.  Under a CMT system, each thread can be considered an atomic
action until they explicitly give up the CPU.  This make coordination far
easier than assuming that you might be interrupted at any time, which is
the assumption you have to make when programming PMT threads.
