Is it the 603 or 603e? From the specs on the Web, it's 603, no "e". And there's no "'040 integer unit" in the 601, or other "magic trick" for emulating '040 code. Anyone who's sampled emulated versus native versions of the same Mac application can attest to this. The 601, and apparently the later chips, did lift some of Motorola's ideas about processor bus design from the MC88110 (which was a big improvement, bus-wise, over both the 88100/88200 combo and the '040). >Add 386 emulation to WinNT and there's no reason to buy anything >else, and if Dave Haynie's saying nice things about the machine, >tens of thousands of Amiga owners will buy it. ;) I'm saying nice things about the machine, and trying to find out more. Though just because it suits one of my computing needs doesn't necessarily mean a flock of Amiga hackers will move to it; I also have a PClone. On the other hand, I suspect I'll be able to recommend the BeBox to a certain class of users, I never found that much to recommend about a PClone (it's good for EE CAD software if you can't afford a workstation). Oh yeah; in the future, please don't include "386" or "WinNT" in the same sentence as "Dave Haynie", if you can avoid it :-). Thanks...
