I don't know much about these systems (and I'd love to see the FAQ), but 
I must chime in that the Lisa (later dubbed Mac XL) *was* out in 1983.  
It had a Mac-like, though not quite as refined, interface.  

The Mac 128 came out in 1984...anyone know the month?  (April sounds 
about right to me)
