It must be an interesting world you live in, but I wouldn't want to visit there.. I guess all those years of depending on Apple to build, distribute, sell, diagnose, and repair your computers for you eventu- ally take their toll and build up a dependence of sorts. I suppose you would also like to see the government take responsibility for your everyday life? After all, the government is your friend. Trust the government. The government knows what's best for you. Just leave it all in their able hands. "A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, work alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects." -- From _The notes of Lazarus Long_, Robert A. Heinlein Automobiles are not as far beyond human ken as you suggest, either. While one can't reasonably expect to repair everything that happens to your car by yourself, you *should* be able to repair it yourself if you need to. -- Bill Moyer <ttk@rahul.net>
