It also ran at about 4 AM in some little town in the middle of nowhere

Week in a cover article in January of 1994. IT was the most expensive ad
produced, up until that time, and normalizing for 1984 dollars, it may
still be the most expensive. Macintosh management didn't consider the ad
cost-effective because it raised the price of the Thin Mac by as much as
$200 to help pay for it.
Personally, given the massive coverage that the ad itself received, I
think that they are wrong, but what do I know about marketing in
comparison to APple's marketing team?
