Wrong.  All I require for proof is the sources, the build paramters, and
the development platform.  (I do want to be able to build exactly the
system Microsoft claims to have released and then do a byte compare of
the results.)

Originally, this was the norm for Minicomputer OS.  (Actually, the norm
was no OS. :)  I think hiding the source for the OS is doing a disservice
to me as a consumer -- the source is the only absolutely correct
documentation.

Also, I am no more the judge than you.  We are both protagonists for
our viewpoints.  It's just that your viewpoint stinks.
