What mac's do you use. Your one of the first person's I have met that
like going back to a primitive OS. If you are usesing an old system or a
Mac OS striped to its minimum then yes it can be very borring. Its the
system you have that makes the difference. Unless most people there do
not work on a Mac OS there is no reason why they can't be power users in
no time.

BlackHole,

No, I don't think you do. if you knew anything about Macs you would appreciate
them a lot more. Sure, there are differences in the way the machines run, but
just because you don't need to piss around with CONFIG.SYS, .INI files and
all the
other shit that goes on in PCs doesn't mean to say that any particular situation
cannot be resolved in some way, usually in a much simpler manner.

Before you go on and on even more about how bad Apple and Macs are, give a
thought to the people who created the system that you use to access these
newsgroups. Do you know who they are? They are APPLE COMPUTER, INC.

Without Apple, you would not be here to discuss (I use the term lightly in your
case) which system is better than any other (answer: whichever one lets the
individual do the job he needs to do in the most effective manner). In
case you're
not aware, Apple created AppleLink Personal Edition as a public version of their
own AppleLink online service. They sold it a few years back to a company
called America Online, and you now use that to reach the rest of the world.

Give the world a break, calm down, think for a minute, and just remember
that there are millions of people in the world, each of whom has their own
needs, opinions, and desires. Who are you to tell them what to do when you
know so little yourself. Respect others and realise your own limitations, and
the world will be a better place.

So Apple is responsible for AOL as well? Gee, another reason to hate
the company. :)

It was the DOS & Windows users that made AOL what it is now. I was on AOL
when it was Mac (and Apple II) only, and the quality & intelligence of the
people was much higher than it is now. There were fewer kids & just plain
jerks than there are now.

My, what a bigoted statement. All those "dumb" Dos and Window users
populated AOL, and desecrated the highly intellectual Mac user base.

I've been on Mac newgroups, boards, and even in some user groups with
a friend. Neither platform can claim intellectual superiority. :)
