We have SVM installed on our system (1.3.1 and going to 1.4.0).
It's a much better product then Mirror which we ran first.
SVM's capabilities has come in handy a couple of times when various
disks decided they weren't compatible. In the current implementation, we
use SVM strictly for mirroring disks, but in our 750 (just out of
the box) we are going to use the stripping and concatenation
features of the product, and only mirror the key data.

I think it's a much needed enhancement to the standard filesystem and
should become a BUNDLED feature of the OS.
