Quite an oldie. Ours is not quite seven years. A note on the
back says "25 OCT 85", serial no 8559, and we still have the
ns32032 CPUs.

What do you mean *still* running 3.0.17?
$ cat /sys/dynix/conf/vers.c
char version[] = "DYNIX (TM) V2.1.1  #1 (pen): Sat May 19 19:45:37 PDT 1990\n";

Our hardware can't run anything newer. And, no, our computer
club can't afford a SCED card from Sequent that would enable us
to upgrade to Dynix 3. Well, anyway, with a little luck we will
have a SCED card in a month or two that someone might donate to
us. (And perhaps an entire Balance 8000 attached to it :-)
